Meet some of the Café Artysans team and find out some of their favourite items on the shelves.
Here’s a selection of staff favourites chosen by some of the team that we think you’ll love. Whether you’re looking for a gift for someone special, a stocking filler or something for yourself our team are here to help.
Jo is the Business Development Manager at Artysans who is just recently back from her maternity leave. If she had to pick only two top favourites from the selves she would choose;
Harris Tweed Wash Bag (Orange) – Rarebird Designs
Jo has chosen the Harris Tweed Bag from Rarebird design due to its lovely pop of colour and its versatility. Too nice to gift, Jo would keep the bag for herself and use it both as a clutch bag and a bag to hold some of her little one’s things.
‘Nothing to See Here – Hidden Places in Scotland’ book
Jo’s parents live in England but frequently visit Scotland so this pocketsize book would be the ideal gift for them to allow them to explore some wonderful hidden treasures in Scotland. Jo’s favourite hidden gem in Scotland? The wonderful Whaligoe steps just outside of Thurso. Jo also recommends a visit to the Wick Heritage Museum while you are up there.

Calum works front of house in Artysans, having completed his Modern Apprenticeship in Hospitality Services he is now undertaking an SVQ in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership and has shared his favourite items on the shelves. Calum has also been working on some aspects of Artysans digitial marketing and worked to put this blog post together.
AeroPress
The AeroPress is the perfect piece of equipment for a perfectly brewed coffee on the go. Calum’s mum loves coffee so he thinks this would be a great gift for her, one that she could even take to the office for quality coffee (post COVID of course).
Harris Tweed Cup Holder – Alba Craft
Calum’s sister is in University and he thinks this would be a lovely gift to dress up the travel mugs she frequently takes to classes. These cupholders also come as Cafetiere covers and have various colourful designs. They are made locally in Inverness by Alba Craft which Calum also likes.

Jaki is the front of house supervisor at Artysans and has shared the gifts she loves on the shelves.
Matte Blue Teapot – London Pottery
Jaki would gift this to her step-dad who loves tea, Jaki thought the colour of this London Pottery tea-pot was lovely in its matte design. We also have London Pottery tea-pots in a variety of different colours (matte and gloss) and also sell the tea used in Artysans in a variety of flavours to perfectly accompany the teapot.
Nessie Wooden Christmas Decoration – Artcuts
For a while Jaki lived in Spain and would choose to gift these lovely Nessie decorations made by Artcuts, a contemporary wooden gift maker to some of her friends back in Spain. She said it would be like sending ‘a piece of home’ to them.

As well as a lovely selection of gifts we also have Cafe Artysans gift vouchers available.
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
