About Cafe Artysans

At Café Artysans we support young people aged 16-25 who are at risk of being left behind as a result of their personal challenges.  Through a learn-by-doing approach, young people develop the skills and understanding they need to manage independent living, leading to a readiness for employment, and the tools to sustain this. Some of these skills include teamwork; time management; developing confidence; customer service; multitasking; endurance/stamina; attention to detail; flexibility and managing anxiety.

We recognise the importance of soft skill building and believe that these can be developed through tailored work experience that focuses on a young person’s needs.  All our work placements are part of a wider learning plan to help build the skills needed to make the step into employment or further education in the future, this might include personal development; travel support; digital skills; CV building; in work support.

Calman Trust also offers 1 to 1 and group sessions to help build confidence and readiness.  Please get in touch to find out more.
